Artistic authenticity vs. Entrepreneurial conformism

Artists are authentic. They do it their way.

Entrepreneurs are conformist. They seek constant validation from the customer and the market.

And right there in the middle between the two, there is a golden mean: the middle ground between authenticity (forging forward, no matter what) and conformism (relying on feedback loops). It is these iterations based on the merger of authenticity and conformism that produce the most amazing outcomes.
